Business cards

I made this page in my art journal a month ago or so. I decided to make my new business cards from the image. I use Vista Print for my business cards and post cards. They do a pretty good job and have lots of great offers!

Soulmate

Ha! This looks like an advertisement, doesn't it? Well, it is still possible after age 50 isn't it?

Dialogue with my teenage son

I find myself saying the same things every day to my teenage son. I journaled some of my thoughts. The bottom line is "I want you to be safe, I love you".

New art

I just started this piece. I paint the background first then paint the main image with light colors. I like the way this looks translucent. I may be on to something here. I almost like its unfinished state. Perhaps I can leave it almost like this, somewhat ghost like.
This piece is one of the paintings I am creating for the event called "Starry Night", it takes place on the evening of July 21 at Stoller Vineyard in Oregon.

I am offering some more of these on Ebay. They are not showing up right away but should be there for viewing in an hour or so.

More ACEO's on Ebay

I have added two more artist trading cards to my Ebay site. I hope to have the time to keep making them. The colors never turn out on my scanner as vibrant as they are in person.

My new best friend!

This is my new best friend. She keeps me company in my studio. Watch out or she will BITE you!

From Syd.

Some more flower photos from my new camera

I am still practicing. Mostly just to see how the image stabilizer works. The wind is blowing gently in these photos and I think I got a pretty good picture.

It's hard not to take so many, but I'll leave flower taking photos to the experts.

Some more photos

Ok, so this is really fun, to finally get some good photos, I even got a photo of a bee on this flower, look at the wing!

Our dog Bailey and New Camera

I got a new camera today and Bailey posed for my test photo. It has an image stabilizer in it so I can now take photos of my art without them being blurry. I'm off to go learn about my new camera!

Here is the original

Here is the original. I think I like the black and white better. Like Corey said, it's like a xerox copy when it is in black and white. I like that. I like the simplicity of it.

Still working on rubber stamp designs

I worked on designs today. I think I like two of them the best. I've put in an order, let's see how they come out. One of them is very small 1 x 1, I can use it as I sign my paintings. Another one I will use to embellish packages, etc. Now that I've designed them I can't wait to get them!

Making a rubber stamp

I am thinking of making a rubber stamp. So far I have come up with these images for ideas but it's not really what I am looking for. Maybe more of stick like images. I'll have to work on it some more tomorrow. What do you think?

Friends

This is created on 9 x 12 inch heavy 300lb watercolor paper. Their skirts are recycled from my paper I put down to paint all my paintings on. I just cut it up to make the skirt shape. I love re-using stuff. They will be in my Etsy shop as soon as Etsy fixes their server problems.

Oh yeah, don't forget to drop by my ebay auction for more art. Seller name is "trossco"

Some new art, ACEO's on Ebay

I have been making a lot of ACEO's lately. (Artist Cards Editions & Originals). They are pretty much just as time consuming for me as my larger pieces. I get requests for them often so I thought I'd mention it here. Here they are, click here.
Since I'm running out of art wall space I have been collecting a few myself. No, I don't do trades very often as I just don't seem to have the time.

St Bride Library, London

I'm here somewhere. Number 15. I wish I could see this exhibit in person.

Artist you should know about

This artists' work amazes me. She specializes in costumes, corsets and textiles, and incorporates them into her art. The detail in this small atc is spectacular! Her name is Gillian Lee Smith and you can see more of her work here

On another note, it is beautiful here in Seattle. I'm not sure if I will stay inside and make art, or be out in the sunshine......not enough time in the day.
